Road salt water, icicles breaking off of roofs, sand, wind, rain, hail and snow shorten the life and integrity of the gas meter. OTECH gas meter covers were developed to protect the gas meter by minimizing normal weather impacts.

OTECH NATURAL GAS METER COVERS are designed to comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA) REGULATIONS, 49 CFR 192.353 (a).

§ 192.353 Customer meters and regulators: Location. (a) Each meter and service regulator, whether inside or outside a building, must be installed in a readily accessible location and be protected from corrosion and other damage, including, if installed outside a building, vehicular damage that may be anticipated.

Made in Michigan – USA, OTECH Natural Gas Meter Covers are manufactured out of .250 High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Material. From Black HDPE with ultraviolet protection, and White HDPE with ultraviolet protection. OTECH’S Natural Gas Meter covers are designed to be strong and durable in cold winter and hot summer weather conditions.

EASY INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL FOR UTILITY MANTENANCE
Installation is simple and easy. Based on the size of your meter selection and the building siding, use 3 anchor screws to mount the smaller meter covers. Center your view port to the meter display. 1, screw at the top center of the meter cover flange and 2 screws midway on the right and left side of the meter cover on the flange.
For the larger meter covers, use 4 anchor screws to mount the meter cover. 2 screws on the top right and left corners of the flange, and 2 screws ¾ of the way down from the top of the meter cover flange on the right and left side of the meter cover through the flange.

Spray paint for plastic surfaces can be applied to OTECH Natural Gas Meter Covers to customize meter cover with the color of your choice.
